STEP DEMO
The Hesitations are a very simple 'slow dance' step, and are the foundation for an easy, elegant wedding dance.
If you want to keep things simple, use the Hesitations as the basis for your dance and add more dramatic steps like turns and dips around them. Our first Wedding Dance Demo is based on the Hesitations.
DO IT BY YOURSELF
Video 1: Man's Foot Positions
Video 2: Lady's Foot Positions
DO IT WITH MUSIC
Count: SSSS
DO IT WITH A PARTNER
Video 1: Moving together in the Hesitations.
DO IT ON THE FLOOR
Hesitations
This step is not meant to go anywhere, but it will look a lot better if you rotate it slightly. You can turn it in either direction, but our advice is that it will probably feel more natural turning to the right.
The Hesitations are a perfect step to start any dance with, so that you both feel confident that you are not going to start with the wrong foot.
Suggested Combination: Hesitations to Underarm Turns to Hesitations
DO IT WITH STYLE
Video 1: You can rotate your Hesitations to the right or the left.
Video 2: Change your hold to change the look and feel of your dance.
